Apparently, no one in this country knows what a naked woman looks like. At least, that’s what media outlets including CBS, the New York Post, and Fox News seem to think. In reporting the story of Erin Andrews, the ESPN reporter who was surreptitiously taped au naturel in her hotel room, these outlets and others found it necessary to include stills from the tape making its way around the Internet. It probably seems incredibly naive to ask why (naked ladies increase ratings, duh), but the answer may be a little more complicated—and disturbing—than that. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the outlets showing the most Andrews’s flesh are also the ones expressing the most shock and dismay over the tape. “It is many women’s worst nightmare,” The Early Show’s Julie Chen said, introducing the tape, which then played, with parts of Andrews’s body fuzzed out, during the rest of the segment—despite the fact that ESPN has sought to block websites from showing the tape, and threatened legal action against websites posting stills from the footage. The Post also used the term "nightmare" to describe the actions of the "creepy cameraman" who taped the "sideline siren"—and accompanied its story with three stills from the video.
Hot Girls Pictures, Auto Show Girls Actually, I love all girls, but still… there is something especially appealing about the auto show girl. Maybe it’s because we see them next to a car and automatically assume they have some automotive knowledge? Or that they’re at least interested in the cars? We love girls who love things we love. It’s a complicated and bizarre thought process going on inside the male brain. Actually, I take that back, it’s not complicated at all. Either way, the fact remains that men love auto show girls, and last month, the 13th biennial (it’s a word, look it up, it means “every two years”) Auto Shanghai was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Classy digs, apparently, and the girls were equally classy. So we snagged a few pictures of the scenery for you, loyal Ridelusters. Enjoy!
Tour Pictures, Mount Huang Scenery Mount Huang, also known as Huangshan, is one of China's major tourist destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It locates in southern Anhui province in eastern China and is a mountain range. Mount Huang is well known for its scenery, sunsets, peculiarly-shaped granite peaks, Huangshan Pine trees, and views of the clouds from above. Huangshan is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese literature and paintings, as well as modern photography, today. The Mount Huang range comprises many peaks, some more than 3,250 feet (1,000 meters) high. Best-known peaks are Lotus Peak (Lian Hua Feng, 1,864 m) , Bright Summit Peak (Guang Ming Ding, 1,840 m), and Celestial Peak (Tian Du Feng, literally Capital of Heaven Peak, 1,829 m). The World Heritage Site covers a core area of 154 square kilometres and a buffer zone of 142 square kilometres. The mountains were formed in the Mesozoic, about 100 million years ago, when an ancient sea disappeared due to uplift. Later, in the Quaternary Period, the landscape was shaped by the influence of glaciers.
Scientific Pictures, Solar Eclipse A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Sun and the Earth so that the Sun is fully or partially covered. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from the Earth. At least two and up to five solar eclipses can occur each year on Earth, with between zero and two of them being total eclipses. Total solar eclipses are nevertheless rare at any location because during each eclipse totality exists only along a narrow corridor in the relatively tiny area of the Moon's umbra.
